About
Roshni Means Light
In several South Asian languages, Roshni means light, a symbol of understanding, hope, and connection.
Roshni Council is a volunteer-led, community-based collaborative alliance bringing together mental health professionals, wellness practitioners, nonprofit representatives, advocates, students, and community partners who share a commitment to advancing mental health awareness, education, wellness, and community support within South Asian communities.

Our purpose
Our Purpose
The purpose of Roshni Council is to create an inclusive and trusted collaborative space for individuals and organizations working, studying, volunteering, or advocating within areas connected to mental health, wellness, and community support.
The Council will bring the community together through education, professional collaboration, resource-sharing, advocacy, and culturally informed initiatives.
Roshni Council will serve as an umbrella under which conferences, workshops, educational programs, community conversations, wellness initiatives, and professional networking opportunities may be developed.
Our vision
Our Vision
Our vision is a more informed, connected, and supported South Asian community in which mental health and overall wellness can be discussed openly, culturally responsive resources are easier to identify, and professionals and organizations work together rather than in isolation.
